Game Overview
Birds of Prey is a tactical flight simulator set in a fictional Cold War conflict between NATO and its allies (A-side) and the Soviet Union (B-side). Players choose a side and take control of over 40 different aircraft, ranging from fighters to bombers, while managing the broader strategic campaign. Bases and aircraft carriers serve as operational hubs, but enemy attacks can damage these facilities, limiting available resources until repairs are made.The game blends hands-on dogfighting with strategic decision-making, offering both individual missions and an overarching campaign. For longer flights, an autopilot feature helps streamline navigation, while a separate "test pilot" mode lets players experiment with experimental aircraft like the X-15 and X-29 outside the main conflict. With its mix of action and strategy, Birds of Prey delivers a detailed yet accessible simulation of aerial warfare in a tense, alternate-history setting.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
