Game Overview

Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold was one of those games that made me feel like a sci-fi action hero back in the DOS days. You start off in some weird alien-infested base, armed with just a pistol—but before long, you're blasting mutants with a riot shotgun that absolutely shreds. The levels are these maze-like labs full of hidden doors and secret rooms, and half the fun was just poking at every wall to see where they'd take you.

What really stuck with me was how alive the world felt for a '93 shooter. Some of the scientists actually help you instead of just being cannon fodder, which was pretty wild at the time. And the enemy designs? Classic '90s cheese—genetic abominations with way too many teeth and limbs. It’s like Wolfenstein’s weird, slightly jankier cousin who showed up with neon corridors and a better soundtrack.

If you’ve got a soft spot for retro FPS games where the guns feel chunky and the secrets are actually worth finding, this shareware version’s a solid time capsule. Just watch out for those ceiling turrets—they’re sneaky.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
