Game Overview

BloodNet is this weird, moody cyberpunk-vampire mashup from the early '90s that somehow works. You play as Ransom Stark, who’s got a computer jammed into his brainstem to fight off a vampire bite—because of course that’s the solution. The whole thing feels like someone took Blade Runner and Dracula, threw them in a blender, and dumped the result onto your MS-DOS screen.

Most of the game is point-and-click with these dense, text-heavy conversations (classic '90s adventure game vibes), but there’s also stats, party members to recruit, and random encounters that’ll ambush you while you’re just trying to navigate New York’s grimy streets. Oh, and there’s cyberspace—a whole separate world where you hunt for codewords to unlock new areas, like some kind of neon-lit dungeon crawl.

Combat’s clunky but weirdly satisfying once you figure out which stats actually matter (hint: Hacking’s your friend). The writing’s got that over-the-top gothic cyberpunk tone, and the pixel art nails the aesthetic. It’s janky, ambitious, and totally its own thing. If you can handle the old-school interface, it’s a trip worth taking.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
