Game Overview
Bomberman 2 on NES is a weird little sequel—same bomb-dropping chaos, but crammed into single-screen levels instead of the maze-like ones from the first game. You play as the white Bomberman, framed for a crime and now blasting your way out of jail.
The first few levels feel claustrophobic, with enemies closing in fast and nowhere to run. You’ll bomb walls, grab power-ups, and pray for the speed boost before some weird blob thing corners you. The versus mode is where it shines though—three players crammed onto one screen turns into pure, frantic backstabbing.
It’s janky, and the smaller stages make some power-ups feel useless, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the mess of it all. Bomberman 2 is a stripped-down version of the formula, but still fun if you like your explosions chaotic and close-quarters.
