Bomberman (J) came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed by Hudson Soft. It was part of that early wave of DS games that really tried to make use of both screens and the touch controls, though it didn't always feel essential. You control Bomberman, moving him through maze-like stages to defeat all the enemies and find the exit. You drop bombs to destroy soft blocks, which sometimes reveal power-ups like longer blast ranges or the ability to lay more bombs at once. The pacing is quick; you're constantly dodging your own explosions and enemy patterns, and the difficulty can spike in later stages.
