Game Overview
Bomberman Max 2: Red Advance is basically the GBA version of that classic "drop bombs and run" chaos we all love, but with a few extra tricks up its sleeve. You start in these tight little mazes, dodging weird blob enemies and trying not to blow yourself up—which happens more than you'd think at first. The power-ups are everywhere if you know where to look: extra bombs, longer blasts, even weird boots that make you slide around like you're on ice.
What I like about this one is how it doesn’t just copy the old games. There’s a whole roster of characters (I always picked the robot guy), and the levels get seriously devious later on—think conveyor belts, fake walls, and enemies that just won’t quit. The multiplayer’s a riot if you can rope a friend into it, though good luck not yelling when someone traps you in a corner.
It’s pixel-perfect Bomberman, just small enough to fit in your pocket but big enough to make you curse when you mistime a bomb. Still holds up.
