Game Overview
Borobodur: The Planet of Doom is this weird, cool mix of platforming, driving, and puzzle-solving—all wrapped in that classic Amiga vibe. You play as Special Agent Johnson, trying to stop a mad scientist from plunging the universe into a tech-less dark age. Most of the time, you're jumping around side-scrolling levels, hunting for hidden objects while blasting enemies and grabbing power-ups. The gun upgrades actually feel useful, which is nice because some of those enemies are relentless.
Then, out of nowhere, you're suddenly in this behind-the-ship flying sequence, dodging enemy fire and boosting like crazy. The shift in gameplay keeps you on your toes. And just when you think you've got the rhythm, it throws these block-pushing puzzles at you—timed, of course, because why not? It's janky in that charming retro way, but once you get into it, the variety makes it hard to put down. Definitely one of those "just one more level" kind of games.
