Play Bruce Lee Online
Navigate a fortress as Bruce Lee, collect lanterns, dodge traps, and take down ninjas in this classic platformer from 1984.
Bruce Lee, released by Datasoft in 1984 for MS-DOS, was one of those early platformers that felt distinct from the arcade ports of the time. It arrived on home computers when simple, screen-by-screen action games were common, but it had a personality all its own, built around martial arts and environmental hazards rather than just running and jumping.
You control Bruce Lee himself, moving through a multi-screen fortress to collect lanterns while avoiding or defeating enemies. The main adversaries are two types of ninjas and the unpredictable Green Yamo, a sumo-like character who appears suddenly. Signature mechanics include kicking enemies off platforms, dodging fire traps that shoot across the room, and timing your movements to avoid the ninjas' thrown stars. The game is methodical; you often have to wait for the right moment to act, and the difficulty comes from managing multiple threats at once. It feels tense and deliberate, demanding patience as much as quick reflexes.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
