Game Overview

Bubble Blobb II was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought together a number of titles from the platform's early years. The game was developed by a small team whose name isn't widely remembered now, but it fit right in with the kind of experimental, physics-driven puzzle games that were starting to appear on PCs in that era. It didn't have the marketing push of bigger releases, but it found its audience through shareware channels and word of mouth.

You control a gelatinous blob that can spit bubbles to trap enemies, then pop them to clear the screen or set off chain reactions. The main goal is to clear each room of foes while avoiding hazards like spikes and bottomless pits. Key mechanics include bouncing off your own bubbles to reach high platforms and carefully timing pops to avoid getting caught in the blast. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as levels introduce more enemies and environmental tricks. It feels unpredictable and physical in a way that makes every mistake your own fault.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
