Chariots of Wrath came out on the Amiga in 1989 from Impressions. It was one of those games that tried to do a bit of everything, typical for the era when developers experimented with mixing genres. You play as Prince Agar, and the goal is to rescue Princess Arthena across seven distinct stages.

You control the prince directly in different gameplay styles: a first-person castle defense segment where you shoot arrows at approaching enemies, a Breakout-style section where you bounce a ball to break obstacles, a top-down shooter, some platforming, and even a space combat sequence. The main objective stays consistent, but the mechanics shift dramatically from one screen to the next. The pacing is uneven and the difficulty can spike without warning, especially during the shooter portions. It feels disjointed yet oddly ambitious, like a compilation of mini-games tied together by a thin story.
