Chibi-Robo! Park Patrol is one of those weird little DS games that somehow sticks with you. You play as this tiny robot (seriously, he’s like three inches tall) trying to bring a run-down park back to life. At first, it’s just you, a few sad patches of dirt, and way too much litter—but after planting some flowers and cleaning up, the place starts feeling alive again.

The real charm comes from the oddball characters who show up, like a sunflower with a grudge or a squirrel who’s way too into acrobatics. You’ll spend half your time solving their weird little problems (why does that frog need sunglasses?) and the other half making sure your battery doesn’t die mid-mission. It’s oddly satisfying watching the park slowly transform from a wasteland into something colorful.

Fair warning: the controls take some getting used to, and you’ll probably waste a few minutes figuring out how to water plants without spraying yourself.
