Game Overview

If you've ever wanted to see Shin-chan bumble his way through ninja training with that signature chaotic energy, this DS game delivers exactly that. You'll start off with some ridiculous "stealth" missions (Shin-chan's version involves more tripping over than actual sneaking) and before long, you're recruiting his whole gang into the world's least competent ninja squad.

The controls are simple – mostly tapping and dragging for attacks or mini-games – but half the fun comes from the absurd animations. There's something deeply satisfying about watching Shin-chan attempt a "shadow clone" technique and just end up with a bunch of poorly drawn versions of himself falling over. The dialogue's all in Japanese, but the physical comedy translates perfectly.

Fair warning: this isn't some deep action RPG. It's pure, silly fan service for anyone who grew up laughing at Shin-chan's antics. The mini-games get surprisingly creative though, like using the DS mic to blow darts or scribbling on the touchscreen to "repair" broken ninja tools.
