I first played Crazy Cows back in 1998, when it came out as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection from X-Ray Interactive. It was a simple, straightforward arcade game from that era, the kind of thing you'd load up for a quick session between homework assignments. It didn't try to be epic or revolutionary; it just offered a clear, focused task with a silly premise that made you smile.

You control a little farmer character using the arrow keys, moving around a single screen to herd a group of cows that bounce around like rubber balls. Your main goal is to guide all the cows into a pen before the timer runs out. The cows ricochet off the edges of the screen and any obstacles, so you have to anticipate their paths and nudge them in the right direction without getting knocked over yourself. It starts out manageable but gets frantic quickly as more cows are added and the speed increases. It feels like a chaotic but satisfying puzzle where every successful pen closure is a small victory.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
