Crush, Crumble and Chomp! came out in 1981 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series from Epyx. It was a game that fit right into the early home computer scene, where simple concepts and blocky graphics were the norm, and players were just starting to see what these machines could really do. You didn't need a complicated backstory or fancy cutscenes; the appeal was in the straightforward, destructive fun it offered.

You control a giant monster, choosing from types like a gorilla, lizard, or bird, and your goal is to demolish a city while fending off military forces. The game plays out screen by screen as you move through the urban grid, using specific attacks to crush buildings, crumble bridges, or chomp on vehicles. The pacing is methodical rather than frantic; you have to think about your next move as tanks fire and planes dive, but your monster feels powerful, shrugging off most attacks until its health finally runs low. It feels satisfying to systematically reduce a bustling city to ruins under your control.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
