Game Overview

D.R.A.G.O.N. Force was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it never received a numbered release in that series. It was developed by Motivetime and published by MicroProse, arriving during a time when top-down shooters were common but often lacked the depth or polish of their arcade counterparts. The game stood out for its blend of air and ground combat, offering a hybrid experience that felt ambitious for its era.

You pilot a transformable fighter that shifts between a nimble jet and a heavily armed ground vehicle. Your objective is to navigate through enemy-filled territories, destroying key installations and surviving relentless assaults. Signature mechanics include switching forms to adapt to different threats, collecting power-ups to enhance your weapons, and managing a limited energy shield that depletes with each hit. The pacing is relentless, with enemy waves and environmental hazards demanding quick reflexes and strategic positioning. It feels like a constant, frantic scramble for survival where every small victory matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
