Disgaea Infinite is one of those weird, charming little PSP games where you play as a Prinny—y'know, those explosive penguin things from the Disgaea series—who stumbles onto a magic watch after Overlord Laharl gets "assassinated" (and, naturally, cuts their salaries). The twist? You can possess other characters, follow them around, and even hijack their decisions when they hit a crossroads. Pick the wrong dialogue option, and suddenly Etna's throwing a tantrum instead of helping—it’s chaos, but the fun kind.

What’s cool is how the game loops. Every time you uncover a major clue or mess up spectacularly, you respawn at a checkpoint with new info, like a demonic Groundhog Day. The sprite animations and banter are pure Disgaea—over-the-top and packed with inside jokes. And yeah, there are a ton of endings, some of which feel like the game’s just winking at you to go buy another Nippon Ichi title.

Between the timeline tracker, Prinny’s scribbled diary notes, and a lore dump for Disgaea nerds, it’s a weirdly satisfying puzzle-box of a game. Just don’t expect anything straightforward—half the fun is watching everything go wrong before you stumble into the "right" path.
