I remember picking up Doom II for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, published by Activision. The GBA wasn't exactly known for first-person shooters, so this was a rare chance to carry that kind of action around.
You control a space marine fighting through city ruins and industrial complexes overrun by demons. The goal is straightforward: survive each level, find the exit, and kill everything in your path. You explore screen by screen, collecting keycards to open doors and grabbing weapons like the shotgun and chaingun. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is high, especially with the cramped controls. It feels raw and immediate, like you're barely holding back the horde with every shot.
