Game Overview

Perdition's Gate came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by WizardWorks Software. It was one of those unofficial expansions that kept Doom players busy between official releases, offering a full 32-level campaign built in the familiar Doom engine. At the time, it fit right in with the wave of fan-made and third-party content that extended the life of id Software’s classic.

You control the same space marine from the original Doom, fighting through demon-infested industrial complexes and hellish landscapes. Your goal is straightforward: survive each level, find the exit, and kill everything in your path. The gameplay relies on fast movement, aggressive monster placement, and careful resource management. You explore maze-like environments, hunt for colored keycards, and manage your ammo and health while facing ambushes in tight corridors. The pacing is relentless, and some levels push the engine’s limits with high monster counts. It feels like a challenging, no-frills extension of the classic Doom experience.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
