Game Overview

Doom on the GBA? Yeah, it’s actually real—somehow they crammed the whole demon-slaughtering madness into that tiny cartridge. You wake up on Phobos with nothing but a pistol and a bad attitude, and within minutes you’re knee-deep in imps and cacodemons. The controls take a second to get used to (that D-pad wasn’t made for FPS games), but once you’re blasting through corridors and hunting for secret doors, it feels weirdly right.

It’s impressive how much of the original’s chaos they kept—the pixelated gore, the frantic key hunts, even the eerie soundtrack. Sure, the screen’s tiny and the framerate chugs when things get wild, but that just adds to the panic when a pinkie demon corners you. By the time you’re chainsawing your way through Hell’s gates, you’ll forget you’re holding a Game Boy.
