Game Overview

Dr. Plummet’s House of Flux is one of those Amiga games that looks simple until you realize how much gravity hates you. You pilot this tiny, stubborn spaceship through 28 levels, trying to rescue stranded pilots before aliens wreck everything. The controls feel like wrestling a shopping cart downhill—gravity shifts unpredictably, and if you don’t counter-steer just right, you’ll slam into walls or drift helplessly into space.

You’ve got thrusters to push against the pull, but fuel drains fast, especially when alien turrets start blasting at you. The shields eat up energy too, so you’re constantly balancing between defense and not running out of gas mid-flight. The astronauts you’re rescuing? They’re usually parked right next to the turrets, because of course they are.

It’s got that Thrust-style tension where every tiny adjustment matters, and the later levels get downright sadistic. If you like games that punish hesitation, this one’s a gem.
