Game Overview

Krusty's Fun House came out for the Game Boy in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of those early licensed games that tried to capture the show's humor in a puzzle format, back when portable games were mostly simple, screen by screen affairs without much story. The premise is classic Simpsons: rats have infested Krusty's TV studio, and it's up to you to clear them out.

You control Bart Simpson through a series of single screen rooms, pushing rats into traps by manipulating objects like blocks, fans, and conveyor belts. The main goal is to guide all the rats in a room into a crusher or similar device before moving to the next stage. You have to avoid enemies like aggressive rats and hazards such as electric floors, and sometimes use items like popcorn to lure rodents into position. The pacing is methodical, and some screens require precise timing, making it trickier than it first appears. It feels like solving a chaotic, interactive cartoon puzzle where every mistake is your own fault.
