Play Dragon Ball - Advance Adventure (J)(Rising Sun) Online
Kid Goku smashes through bandits in slick side-scrolling brawls, then suddenly you're weaving between bullets in mid-air—boss fights flip to tense 1v1 duels where timing’s everything. That Jackie Chun fight? Pure pain until you learn his rhythm.

Game Overview
Dragon Ball - Advance Adventure is one of those GBA gems that actually makes you feel like you're playing through early Dragon Ball, not just another generic fighter. You start off as kid Goku smashing through bandits in classic side-scrolling beat 'em up action, then suddenly you're dodging bullets mid-air during the flying sections—which still feels surprisingly smooth for a 2004 handheld game.
The boss fights switch things up completely, turning into proper one-on-one battles where timing matters way more than button mashing. I got wrecked by Jackie Chun at least five times before figuring out his patterns. And yeah, the story's all over the place compared to the anime (why is General Blue fighting alongside Goku?), but the roster makes up for it—30 characters including weird deep cuts like Bacterian and Nam.
What really hooked me were the hidden Dragon Balls and technique scrolls tucked away in levels. Found a Kamehameha scroll behind some destructible rocks in the desert and immediately felt like I'd broken the game. Even if you only know Dragon Ball from memes, the gameplay holds up way better than it has any right to. Just don't expect the Piccolo fight to be anything like the show.
