Game Overview

Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu on GBA is... well, it exists. I remember booting it up expecting at least a decent portable fighter, but wow. The sprites look like someone traced them with their non-dominant hand, and the fights move at the speed of a sleepy turtle. Even basic combos feel like wrestling with molasses.

Picking Goku or Vegeta doesn’t help—every character handles like they’re underwater. There’s a weird delay on every punch, and special moves barely register half the time. I’ve played bad DBZ games before, but this one makes Budokai on the NES look polished. It’s the kind of game you try once just to confirm the rumors, then never touch again.
