Dragon Booster on the DS throws you right into the middle of Dragon City, where humans and dragons are at each other’s throats. You play as Artha Penn, some poor guy who suddenly gets stuck with the whole "chosen one" gig—now he’s gotta be the Dragon Booster and somehow fix this mess.

The racing’s actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it. You start off with a basic dragon (mine kept skidding into walls at first), but you can upgrade gear to make them faster or tougher. There’s a bunch of modes—single races, story stuff, even wireless multiplayer if you’ve got friends with the game. The controls take a minute, but pulling off a clean drift around a tight corner feels weirdly satisfying.

It’s not the deepest racer out there, but if you ever wanted to pretend you’re racing dragons instead of cars, this’ll do the trick.
