Game Overview

Dragon Quest I & II on SNES is one of those classic JRPG bundles that feels like digging through an old treasure chest—you know it's rough around the edges, but there's charm in that. The first game drops you straight into a simple world with barely any direction, just a sword and a king telling you to go slay a dragon. No fancy tutorials, no hand-holding—just you, some slimes, and the grind.

The second game opens up a bit more with a party system and actual towns that don’t feel like cardboard cutouts. The SNES remake gives everything a nice visual glow-up from the NES originals, though don’t expect mind-blowing graphics. It’s still very much an old-school RPG—random encounters, turn-based combat, and that satisfying *plink* sound when you level up.

If you’re into retro JRPGs, this is basically history in cartridge form. Just be ready for some serious patience-testing moments when you get lost for the tenth time because the game expects you to talk to every NPC twice.
