Play Dragon Quest I & II Online
You guide a lone hero through pixel-perfect towns, grinding slimes until you're tough enough to face the Dragonlord—nostalgia with smoother controls and prettier sprites.

Dragon Quest I & II on SNES is like revisiting your favorite childhood book with fresh illustrations—same classic story, but everything just looks and sounds better. The pixel art got a glow-up while keeping that charming old-school vibe, and the music actually feels richer coming out of a Super Nintendo.
They tweaked some things under the hood too—no more hunting for the "Stairs" command (thank goodness), and towns feel a bit more alive with extra space to explore. Found myself noticing little details, like how torches flicker differently in caves now. Still has that grind-y JRPG DNA though—you’ll be smacking slimes for a while before taking on the Dragonlord.
Funny how these two games feel so simple by today’s standards, but there’s something cozy about their straightforward adventures. Just don’t expect your party members in DQII to stop being useless in random battles.
