The controls feel tight—no awkward jumps or delayed swings here—and the pixel art has that perfect mix of chunky and detailed.

What really got me was the dragon mechanic. After a few levels, you stumble on an egg, and suddenly you’ve got this fire-breathing buddy who can roast enemies or help you reach hidden areas. It’s not some tacked-on gimmick either; you actually need to strategize when to call them in. The music’s got that classic GBA synth vibe too, all bouncy and dramatic at just the right moments.

It’s not the longest game out there, but every level feels packed with little secrets—false walls, alternate paths, the works.
