Duck Hunt on MS-DOS was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought several simple titles to the platform in the early 1990s. It was a straightforward port of the NES light gun shooter, adapted for use with a mouse instead of the original Zapper. The game arrived at a time when many players were experimenting with PC gaming, and it offered a familiar arcade style experience without requiring specialized hardware.

You control a targeting reticle with the mouse, clicking to fire at ducks as they fly across the screen. The main objective is to shoot a certain number of ducks within a limited number of shots to advance.
