Game Overview

F-117A Stealth Fighter on NES is one of those late-Cold War flight sims that somehow made the jump from PC to console without losing all its charm. You're piloting the iconic angular stealth bomber (before everyone knew what it actually looked like), sneaking behind enemy lines to drop payloads on radar installations and airfields.

The controls take some getting used to—this was back when flight sims didn't dumb things down for controllers—but there's something satisfying about lining up a perfect bombing run after fumbling with the altitude controls for the first few missions. The VGA graphics were a big deal back then, though on NES they're more "functional" than pretty. You'll spend a lot of time squinting at radar screens and fuel gauges.

It's definitely a product of its time, but there's still a weird thrill in pulling off a mission without getting detected. Just don't expect Ace Combat-style dogfights—this is all about patience and not crashing during landing.
