Game Overview

F1-Racer on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first glance—just another early racing sim—but there's something weirdly satisfying about how it handles. The tracks feel narrow, almost claustrophobic, and if you don’t brake before turns, you’re definitely eating the barrier. The AI cars don’t mess around either—they’ll shove you into the dirt if you leave an opening.

What I love is how the physics make you actually think like you’re wrestling with a real car. No fancy assists here—just you, the wheel, and a lot of trial-and-error memorizing corners. The graphics are pure Amiga charm, too: chunky pixels, bright colors, and that distinctive engine whine that somehow never gets old.

It’s not the deepest racer out there, but for a quick blast of old-school speed, it still holds up surprisingly well.
