Remember that insane podracing scene from The Phantom Menace? This Game Boy Color version actually nails the speed and chaos of it—somehow. You pick between Sebulba, Anakin, or a handful of other racers, then immediately get thrown into tight, breakneck races across Tatooine and wild alien tracks. The controls are simple (just gas and steering), but dodging rock formations and rival racers at full speed? Not so much.

What’s wild is how good it looks for a GBC game—the tracks have this weird sense of depth, and your pod actually feels like it’s flying way too fast. Your engine overheats if you push it too hard, which… yeah, happens a lot. The N64 version’s obviously prettier, but this one’s shockingly fun for something you could fit in your pocket. Just don’t blame me when you wipe out on the last turn because you got cocky.
