Game Overview

Face Maker was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought together various titles from the platform's early years. It was developed by Spinnaker Software, a company known for its educational and creative software during that era. The game fits right into the mid-1980s trend of simple, accessible programs that encouraged experimentation rather than competition or high scores.

You control a cursor to select and place facial features from a menu onto a blank head shape. The main objective is simply to create a face, with no right or wrong way to do it; you drag eyes, noses, mouths, and other parts like ears or hats, arranging them in any combination you like. Signature mechanics include the ability to scale features larger or smaller, and to flip them horizontally for added customization. The pacing is entirely up to the player, with no time limits or difficulty levels to worry about. It feels like doodling with a set of digital stickers, yielding silly or surprising results with every attempt.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
