Fast Freddie is one of those arcade games that looks simple until you actually try it. You're basically hang-gliding through these side-scrolling levels, trying not to crash into birds, UFOs, or whatever else they throw at you. The controls are dead simple—just move up and down—but timing your kicks to take out enemies from below takes some practice.

What I like is how they sneak in little challenges. Each level hides five letters spelling B-O-N-U-S, and grabbing them all gives you a nice score boost. The first few times I played, I just focused on surviving, but now I try to hunt down every letter while dodging everything. It's the kind of game where you'll fail a bunch at first, then suddenly everything clicks.

Fair warning: the later stages get brutal. But that's part of the charm—it's short, fast, and just tricky enough to keep you coming back.
