Game Overview

Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2008, a follow up developed and published by Capcom. It was a time when the PSP had a solid library of fighting games and quirky spin offs, and this one definitely fit right in with that crowd.

You pick a chibi styled fighter from the Fate/stay night universe and battle it out in small, enclosed arenas. The main goal is to deplete your opponent's health bar using a wild assortment of attacks, including picking up food items like tacos and baguettes to use as weapons. The combat is fast and simple, relying on button mashing and pulling off exaggerated special moves that fill the screen with colorful, chaotic effects. Matches are quick and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, but the overall feel is lighthearted and silly. It's a game that doesn't take itself seriously at all, and that makes it a fun distraction for short bursts.
