Play Ferrari Challenge (E)(sUppLeX) Online
Toss a basic Ferrari around tight corners and fend off aggressive AI—Monza’s long straights feel great after squeezing through twisty tracks. Surprisingly solid handling for a DS racer.

Ferrari Challenge came out on the Nintendo DS in 2008, published by System 3. It was part of that wave of handheld racing games trying to capture a console feel, a time when developers were still figuring out how to make driving work on the dual screens. You get a selection of Ferrari models and a handful of real world tracks to learn.
You control a single Ferrari in races against AI opponents, aiming to climb through the championship modes or set fast times in single events. The touch screen acts as your hub for things like manual shifting or adjusting your racing line, while the top screen shows the track. The physics are surprisingly weighty for a portable racer; you have to manage your brakes carefully to avoid spinning out in the tighter corners. Races are short and the AI provides a decent challenge, often forcing you to defend your position on the straights. It feels satisfying to nail a clean lap and build a rhythm with the car.
