Game Overview

Gamma Zone is one of those Amiga games that feels like it was beamed in from another dimension. You control this little ship that hovers over a grid, blasting away at geometric enemies while dodging their attacks. The visuals are simple but hypnotic—lots of neon wireframes and pulsing colors that give it this weird, almost dreamlike vibe.

At first, it seems straightforward—just shoot everything—but then the patterns get faster, the enemies start warping around, and suddenly you're gripping the joystick way too tight. The sound effects are all bleeps and bloops, but they somehow make the whole thing even more intense. I remember getting totally lost in it for hours, even though my hands would cramp up after a while.

It’s not the most polished game out there, but there’s something weirdly addictive about it. If you like old-school arcade-style shooters with a trippy twist, this one’s worth a look.
