Play Gateway 2 - Homeworld Online
You wake up stranded with nothing but cryptic messages and eerie alien silence—every choice, from trusting shady AI to exploring wrecked ships, shapes how the story unfolds. Those pixelated corridors and synth hum make the loneliness stick.

Gateway 2: Homeworld came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Legend Entertainment. It was a time when text-heavy adventures and early graphical interfaces were common, and this game fit right into that niche, blending interactive fiction with point-and-click exploration in a way that felt ambitious for its era.
You play as a lone survivor stranded in deep space, piecing together clues from logs and alien artifacts while managing limited resources like fuel and oxygen. The main goal is to uncover the truth behind your situation and find a way back home, which involves careful decision-making, dialogue with sometimes unreliable AI, and navigating derelict ships screen by screen. The pacing is deliberate, almost slow, with a difficulty that punishes rash choices but rewards patience and attention to environmental details. Playing it feels like untangling a quiet, personal mystery under the weight of absolute isolation.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
