It’s got that perfect balance of "this is ridiculous" and "okay, one more try"—not as punishing as Ninja Gaiden, but still makes you feel like a badass when you chain together a combo. The music’s all bleep-bloop goodness, and the sprites have this goofy charm, like the developers couldn’t decide if they wanted serious action or a comedy. Either way, it works.
