You start off picking clubs and adjusting for wind—which feels way more involved than it should—but after a few swings, you get why they called it "Ultimate." The greens are brutal, and that signature shark logo on the loading screen isn’t just for show.

What I love is how punishing it is. Miss your putt by a hair? Enjoy watching the ball roll halfway back down the fairway. The pixelated courses have this weird charm too, like someone mapped out every blade of grass just to mess with you. It’s not flashy, but good luck putting it down once you’ve shanked your third shot into a water hazard.

Still one of the few golf games where yelling at the screen feels justified.
