Guilty Gear Judgment takes the wild, over-the-top characters from the main fighting games and throws them into a side-scrolling brawler. It’s like someone mashed up Final Fight with Guilty Gear’s anime chaos—you’re punching through waves of enemies as Sol or May, pulling off their signature moves but in a totally different format. At first, it feels weird not doing 1v1 fights, but smashing a crowd with Ky’s lightning sword never gets old.

There’s a solid roster here—20 characters, including some you’ve gotta unlock—and they all handle like their fighting game versions, just adapted for mob battles. The real bonus? The package also includes a full port of either XX Slash (if you’ve got the Japanese version) or #Reload (everywhere else), so you still get the classic 2D fighter experience too. It’s two very different games in one, and somehow both work.
