Play Ice Age on GBA Online

You stomp through icy caves as Manny, smashing stuff with your trunk, then suddenly you're Sid sliding out of control—those parts are messy but keep you on your toes. Grab acorns to stay alive, and try not to yeet the baby off cliffs.

Game Overview

Ice Age on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2002, developed by Ubisoft. It was one of many licensed platformers from that era, a time when almost every movie got a portable game adaptation. You control the main characters from the film, moving through levels based on locations from the story.

You primarily play as Manny the mammoth, using his trunk to smash obstacles and defeat enemies, but the game frequently switches to Sid the sloth for slippery sliding sections and Diego the saber-toothed tiger for faster, more agile platforming. The main goal is to reunite the human baby with its tribe, which involves navigating screen by screen through icy caverns, forest paths, and underground tunnels. You collect acorns to regain health and must carefully carry the baby through certain segments, as dropping it or taking damage causes you to lose progress. The pacing is uneven due to the character switching, and some sliding parts feel frustratingly imprecise. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clumsy attempt to translate the movie's adventure into a simple action game.
