Game Overview
Iron Man 2 on PSP is one of those rare movie tie-ins that actually feels like it has its own thing going on. You jump right into the suit—either as Tony’s sleek Iron Man or Rhodey’s tank-like War Machine—and the difference isn’t just cosmetic. Iron Man zips around like a jet, while War Machine lumbers through with enough firepower to level a city block. Picking between them before missions actually matters.
The customization is where I got hooked. Between missions, you’re tweaking repulsors, swapping out missile types, and basically turning your suit into whatever ridiculous weapon you feel like building. Then you take it out and immediately test it by punching through walls or smashing armored trucks like they’re made of cardboard. The combat’s messy in that fun, over-the-top way—enemies go flying, explosions send debris everywhere, and yeah, you fight at least one skyscraper-sized robot.
Matt Fraction’s story ties it all together with some classic Marvel flair, throwing in new villains and locations that weren’t in the movie. It’s not perfect—controlling flight takes some getting used to—but blasting through a highway chase or a mid-air dogfight still feels great years later. If you ever wanted to trash a city as Iron Man without consequences, this is your game.
