JetFighter: The Adventure is one of those MS-DOS games that just gets what makes arcade dogfights fun. No tutorials, no fluff—just you, a jet, and a sky full of enemies who really don’t want you to win. The controls are simple enough that you’ll be pulling off barrel rolls within minutes, but the AI pilots actually put up a decent fight, weaving through clouds and trying to outmaneuver you.

The pixelated explosions and chunky terrain might look dated now, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about the way missiles leave little smoke trails as they zip past your cockpit. And that moment when you finally nail a tricky shot and watch an enemy plane erupt into blocky fire? Pure joy. It’s not trying to be realistic—just fast, loud, and a little bit unfair in the best way.

If you’ve got a soft spot for games where the biggest challenge is not grinning like an idiot while you play, this one’s still worth dusting off. Just don’t blame me when you start tapping the keyboard like it’s a throttle.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
