Play Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball Online

Timing your swing with Griffey feels crisp, and chasing down fly balls—even when your outfielders lumber like they’re wearing concrete cleats—somehow never gets old.

Game Overview

Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball is one of those SNES sports games that just feels right. You’ve got all 28 MLB teams (with real player names, though no faces—this was the '90s, after all) and their actual stadiums, which was kind of a big deal back then. The pitching and batting mechanics are simple but satisfying—no crazy button combos, just timing and a bit of guesswork.

What I love is the season mode. You can go full marathon with 162 games or just dip your toes in with a shorter run. Fielding takes some getting used to—outfielders move like they’re stuck in molasses sometimes—but there’s something weirdly addictive about chasing down fly balls with Junior himself. It’s not the flashiest baseball game out there now, but it’s got that nostalgic charm where the little details (like the crowd noise when you nail a homer) still hold up.
