Klax on Game Boy came out in 1990, a portable version of the arcade puzzle game from Atari Games. It was part of that wave of straightforward, pick-up-and-play titles that fit the handheld perfectly, offering a clear challenge without a lot of fuss.

You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, catching colored tiles as they slide down a ramp. The goal is to create rows, columns, or diagonals of three or more matching tiles, which then vanish from the playfield.
