Game Overview
Klax is one of those puzzle games that looks simple at first—just stack colored blocks into rows, columns, or diagonals to clear them—but before long, the conveyor belt is dumping tiles at you faster than you can think. The Sega Master System version keeps the same frantic energy as the arcade original, just with slightly chunkier pixels.
You start with three lanes to drop blocks into, but the game quickly throws curves at you, like tiles sliding sideways or the belt speeding up. I kept messing up by trying to plan too far ahead instead of just reacting. The colors pop nicely on the Master System, even if the sound effects are a little tinny. It’s the kind of game where you’ll lose track of time trying to beat your last high score.
