Le Fetiche Maya is one of those MS-DOS adventures that somehow slipped under the radar back in the day—which is a shame, because it nails that perfect mix of exploration and brain-melting puzzles. You start off as some unlucky explorer stumbling onto a Mayan artifact (never a good idea), and suddenly you're knee-deep in cryptic symbols, hidden traps, and the kind of riddles that make you question your life choices.

The pixel art has that grainy, atmospheric charm where every shadow feels like it's hiding something. I remember getting stuck for ages on a puzzle involving a crumbling temple mural—turns out the solution was way simpler than I thought, but the game never holds your hand. And yeah, you might want to keep a notepad handy for those hieroglyph translations unless you've got a photographic memory.

It’s got that old-school vibe where the danger feels real, mostly because the game won’t hesitate to let you walk straight into a cursed tomb if you’re not paying attention. Still one of my favorite obscure adventure games from the era.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
