Game Overview

I picked up LEGO Indiana Jones 2 on PSP back in 2009, a Traveller's Tales and LucasArts joint that fit right in with the portable action-puzzle games of the era. It covers the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but also revisits moments from the earlier films, which was a nice touch for anyone who grew up with the classics. The PSP version handled the scope pretty well, delivering condensed but fun levels you could play in short bursts.

You control Indy and a rotating cast of allies, each with unique abilities for solving environmental puzzles and fighting enemies. The main goal is to progress through stages by breaking objects, building LEGO structures, and collecting studs. Signature mechanics include cooperative puzzle solving, light combat with whips and fists, and vehicle segments that break up the pacing. The difficulty stays fairly relaxed, making it easy to pick up and enjoy without frustration. It feels like a clever, lighthearted take on the movies that rewards exploration and replay.
