Game Overview

Leisure Suit Larry Goes Looking for Love (in Several Wrong Places) is a weird little time capsule from the MS-DOS era. It ditches the open-city wandering of the first game for a more linear, puzzle-heavy adventure—think King’s Quest, but with way more awkward flirting. You’ll still type commands like "open door" or "talk to barmaid," but now you can use arrow keys or even a joystick to move Larry around, which feels oddly modern for the time.

Fair warning: this game hates Larry. If you try his usual schtick of hitting on every woman in sight, you’ll watch him die in increasingly ridiculous ways. There’s no timer, but some puzzles force you to act fast, and missing key items early can softlock you later. The "Trite Phrase" feature is a bizarre touch—type in something like "Have a nice day," and Larry will annoy everyone by repeating it constantly. It’s janky, mean-spirited, and somehow still charming if you’re into retro adventure game nonsense.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
