Logos Panic Goaisatsu is one of those weird little SNES games that makes you go, "Wait, why have I never heard of this before?" It's like if someone took the stress of Tetris and mashed it with the wordplay of Scrabble, but everything's in Japanese—kanji and kana tiles drop from the top, and you've gotta frantically match them into words or patterns before the screen chokes.

The first time I played, I barely lasted two minutes before everything collapsed into chaos. But there's something weirdly satisfying about how it forces your brain to switch gears—one second you're scanning for hiragana combos, the next you're slamming the buttons to rotate a stubborn kanji before it locks into place. And the whole thing's wrapped in this absurdly cheerful 90s aesthetic, all bright colors and peppy music that somehow makes losing less painful.

It never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it's way more fun than half the puzzle games that did. Just don't expect to understand everything unless you're already decent with Japanese—this game doesn't hold your hand.
